I'm sending ADAT output from a QS8.1 to an Alesis Q20. Unfortunately, the data being received has clipping pops on a few of the patches (such as Preset #3 - Program #22...a.k.a. "Rockin' B3"). Is this clipping typical for ADAT output from the QS8.1? Is it just that the patches were sampled incorrectly? Or is it a problem with something else down the line? 98% of the QS patches seem to work flawlessly...only the ones that are higher volume (typically the organs, but not always) seem to have this problem. It is the nature of ADAT to send the full size of data, regardless of the volume slider, so the volume slider is not the answer to this problem. Anyone have any ideas on what might be the problem?
