: I really want to get a nice keyboard and everywhere I look the Alesis seems to be tops. Theres this guy who is selling a QS6.1 with a sanctuary card, rap/techno card, 512k ram card, and euro dance card. He's asking $700 bucks for it, no shipping cost. Is that an alright deal???? Please help me before I throw my money away!!

If its working perfectly it is ok. There were some excellent run-out prices on Alesis gear
when they went leg-up and I dare-say you could have got this configuration for somewhere
in that vicinity then new, Whether you still can I do not know but I know Guitar Center had no
Alesis synths on diosplay last time I was down there.

At regular prices, that's about 1050 to 1100 dollars worth of gear new, at best street prices.

There are a lot of good synths out there for around this money, too. I would certainly
look at the low end offerings from Yamaha and Roland before plonking down your money.
At that price, the QS6 is a good deal, but its not the only good deal you can get.

There have also been reports of some people having trouble with these synths on this
forum. I would be areful about buying it sight unseen. On the other hand, I have never had
a moments trouble with my QS8.
