This is not what Alesis claims: they say "Plus, weve enhanced the General MIDI sound set so that composition and playback of compatible files are even better sounding than before". As I recall, the worst weakness of QS8 was in the poor General Midi section (as other people say), so an improvement would be appreciated.
But how much where they improved?
And did they change the sampled waveforms or only the sound programming? And is the GM section in QSR programmable or only presetted?
