: Somehow I lost a User Preset...I understand that I can download these sounds from this site or the Alesis site...My question...How do I get the replacement sound into my keyboard?
: Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan. You should have software called FreeLoader on a CDROM that came with the keyboard. If not, you can download both the Freeloader software and the user presets at the Alesis site. After installing, start Freeloader, click on the drive letters on the left bottom and double lick on the file called Q78_USER on the right so that it goes into the upper window. Make sure MIDI is on at the keyboard and hit the play button (>) in the middle of the software screen. If everything is set up right, you should see bytes being trasferred in the software window and your keyboard reporting that it's receiving MIDI data. It takes less than 30 seconds to download. (It will default to your USER bank, but you can also save to the PCMCIA cards if you have them.) That's the 'skinny' but there are many good suggestions on this site. Take a few minutes to look at the SoundBridge software also. A lot of these folks really know this instrument well. Good luck. Tom
