All of the drum loop samples in the rhythm patches are set to "mono" key mode, meaning the sample plays at the same rate regardless of whitch key you hit. If you change this parameter to "poly" it will make it so the lower you play, the slower the loop repeats, the higher you play, the faster (the actual pitch of the drum sound will change as well, however, so it's not just like increasing the tempo on a drum machine).
Anyway, to answer your question - I too have been trying to figure this out so I can use the drum loops with a sequencer and have them be relatively synchronized. I recorded exactly sixty seconds of the "psi beat 11" sample played at pitch C3 and I counted out the beats - I counted 83 but when I played it against a metronome set for 83 bpm the alesis lagged behind the metronome afer about twenty bars. Finding the exact tempo would be like finding a needle in a haystack, but I know its in the neighborhood of 82.6, although I'm sure after a few hundred bars you would notice variance at this tempo also. I was able to put up with listening to two hundred bars, after which it still sounded in sync, to my ear anyway.

: Does anybody know the exact bpm of patches in the rhythym section e.g "loop-o-mat" or how to work this out? Can the speed be modified within the QS?
