I don't think anything on the QS's is ever going to qualify as realistic, but I've had some succes with my QSR using the acoustic guitar patch where having set up the basic chords, I then edited them by turning off the quantizing function on the sequencer and ever so slightly delayed each successive chord note to simulate the fact that they really don't all happen at the same time.

Do this in both the up and downstroke patterns as appropriate to the song. Also, vary the velocity a little from string to string and chord to chord to better simulate the way rhythm guitar is played.

It's tedious, and while an improvenment, it still isn't going to fool too many people. If you have the option, bury it a little in your mix.

: Does anyone have any helpful hints/info on the best way to get a realistic guitar strumming sound? (other then the obvious, using a real guitar!) :)

: any help is appreciated
