: : I have a QS8. Whenever I sequence something in Cubase :where there is a piano sound on one of the channels, :the piano sounds crispy and crappy. The same piano :sounds fine in program mode and in mix mode. The :problem is just when I sequence. I believe the problem :is caused by the synth. Anyone with a cure or :suggestion. Does anyone out there have the same :problem?

: Maybe you have to disable echo in the midi setup page on Cubase.
: I had the same problem with Cubase. In Cubase, on midi setup, you have echo auto, manual or disable. I put it on disable.
: The problem come maybe from the fact that synthe echo each notes send from computer.

If not, some sequencers (not sure about Cubase) automatically send a pan message at the start of the sequence whether you have put one there or not. The QS responds to pan by putting all the sounds in the program to the pan setting. So your stereo piano is now mono, phasing, and dead. If this is happening, you can send SYSEX messages after the sequence starts to reset the pans to the program pan settings.
