: I have been told that the QSR can do sampled release, where a release sample is triggered at the point of key release. I believe this is done in Program mix mode with sound 1 containing the Attack and sustain loop sample and sound 2 containing the separate release sample. I can't see how this works, how is the second sample triggered? How is it matched into the Sound 1 sample? Does the QSR do some sort of crossfade between the two? how is it set up? Can't find anything in the manuals.

: Thanks

Hi David,
You got my curiosity up, since I knew the "Amen" patches on the Sanctuary card use this. There are three sounds, "Ahh", "Mehh", and "Nnnn", the last of which only comes in when you release the keys. (Check out my one and only use of these on my site if you can stomach true amateur BS.) The trick is in the delay setting of the amp envelope. If you set the delay to "Hold", then the whole envelope doesn't start until the keys are released.
Chris
