I've always used my QS8 as a stand-alone, but I suspect this problem will force me to learn the software that came with the synth. I lent it out and it came back with the user bank wiped clean.
Specifically, the user bank now parallels the Q-card I had inserted at the time. If I remove the Q-card the user bank shows the Q-card sounds but does nothing. That makes me think it might be only the directory that needs fixing and the original sounds are still in there.
In any case, how do I get my voices back? Does Alesis have the originals on their website for download? Once I hook up a computer, will I have any problem putting the voices back in?
