Jon, I'm not sure what you mean?

First off, what does analog versus digital have to do with the question? For the record, I record my synth audio via the QS8's ADAT out.

My question refers to individual Cubase settings. Is there a way to tell Cubase which midi channel to record and which one not to record? For instance, can I tell Cubase to record channel 1 to audio tracks 3 and 4 (stereo)? Better yet, could I simulataneously record two midi channels to separate audio tracks? Another example would be in addition to recording channel to tracks 3 and 4, also simultaneously be able to record channel 3 to another stereo pair of audio tracks.

: Why not just record analog out of the keyboard into your sound card using cubase. This is the only way I know of to keep all your effects and quality samples.

: : Does anyone have any tips on how to convert midi tracks to audio using Cubase?

: : The problem that I'm having is that, in order to best utilize the QS8's program effects settings (which sound better than the mix effects), I'm recording each track individually while in program mode.

: : But when doing this, I'm finding that the only way that I can get a particular track (say track 3) to sound, is for me to change track 3's channel number to 1 (and to take whatever track is set to 1 and set it to another number).

: : While this is working, there has to be an easier way.

: : Suggestions?
