Converting midi to audio in Cubase

I have some specific questions regarding settings in Cubase VST/24 when converting midi tracks to individual audio tracks.

1. Can I assign each midi track to record to a separate audio track and then convert all the midi tracks simultaneously?

2. If the answer to question 1 is no, then what is the best way to convert individual midi tracks to audio? Keeping in mind that I play the midi tracks back with the QS in program mode in order to optimize effects, I change the midi track that I want to record to midi channel 1 (if it's not already assigned to 1). When I hit record, for whatever reason this midi is the only track that is recorded to audio. When I'm done with that track, I change it to another number and change the next midi track that I want to record to channel one and repeat the process.

Is there a better way?
