I simply use the staff tool to enter the "notes" from the percussion patches. That track is a sequencer, playing the QS6.1 sounds, then recording them as audio on seperate channels. Since I can't find a way around the whole GM thing, this is the only solution I know. A down-side is that Cakewalk plays the GM patch while it's telling the QS what to do, so during the recording process, I hear the GM patch being played, but it's not recorded into the ausio track since that GM patch is not being sent as audio.
: Does anyone have an instrument def file for the QS 6.1, 7 or 8 that they have found or created that includes the note names for all the percusion patches in all the banks, or does everyone just use the GM drum note names for (random patch names...) Industo, AfricaPerc, OuterKit, UFO Drums, etc?
