I went ahead and purchased the card for $99.00. Figured, how could I go wrong? Well, I figured wrong. I just can't believe how cheezy the piano's on this card sound. And I not talkin sliceable cheese, this is pure can cheese. Everything sounds like it was sampled from a 70's electric piano. Thank god for Sam's patches! Question, can these cards be reburned?

: I haven't tried the card, but I believe the jazz piano bytes are one of the three piano samples in the DG8. Bosendork 9'-6", Fazioli 10', and Kawai (9'?) The Kawai sample (Jazz) is a significantly better sample than the Bozo sample. (i.e. the flawed boost in gain around second b-flat below middle-C). The speakers on the DG8 are to die for among digital pianos, but I think the two piano cards are quite good if the DG8 is any indication at all. Hope this is helpful, Paul W
