: My friend has had a QS8 and he just recently purchased Cakewalk 9. Unfortunately he can not play more than one sound (the track that is selected in cakewalk). He has no ideo what to do. How does he make the qs8 multi-timbral?
: Thanks,

I have a QS 6.1 and Cake 7, but the basics are the same, if I understand your question correctly.

First things first. Make sure the QS is in multitimbral mix mode by pressing Mix and then page thru to the User Bank. Push 00 and 0 to get to multitimbral. You should have 00 User Multitimbral Mix showing in the little view thingie.

For the rest of it, click on the Archives button at the top of the forum list. This will take you back one page. Scroll down to my question about missing something VERY basic, dated 07/16/00 (the only one with that date). You can read my question and the answer that was posted. It was dead-on.

If you have any other ???s feel free to send me an email and I'll help if I can. There is also an Yahoo forum at http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/alesissynthforum

Hope this helps.

Michael
