I agree with one of the other postings.. there's no way that contacts could mess up pitch in some of the notes. As far as the speaker.. I have doubts that would be the case. It would maybe cut or attentuate some of the higher harmonics making the sound at higher pitches dull, but would not affect the pitch of the fundamental.

As a said before, just some of the notes being flat sounds weird. I've had random pitch errors in old keyboards, but the effect is never in specific notes. But again this happened on a beat up poly 800 that I used to gig with years ago that I still have around...

My suggestion would be to get a chromatic tuner to investigate further, track and plot note by note. and maybe try to compare results with other users. My theory is still on how the instrument got sampled and how interpolation was done. Keep us posted in what you find, I'm interested to see what comes up.
