If you are sure that connections are OK and you pass the connection test from program, then maybe you try to load damaged midi files.
If the midi files are not damaged, then maybe they are not in MIDI 0 Format.
Try to save your midi file thru your sequencer as MIDI file type 0.
Also try to send a bank file to card or a small wave file just to see if the flash card is damaged.
