: i was thinking about picking up a QSR and controlling
: it from my Ensoniq ESQ-1...what are the strange sounds
: like, and, the "futuristic" sounds like? happenin?

This is exactly the setup I have, and they work quite
nicely together. The QSR has some decent "weird"
sounds for creating industrial music, plus some
decent "weird" drum kits. The really nice thing
about the QS7/8/R is the ability to download samples
to them, so if you don't like the sounds, or if you
have something specific you want to add (like sound
bite or something), they you have the option to
download these sample to FlashRAM cards. The
price/performance ratio is pretty hard to beat.
