: Also, with Soundbridge software is it
: possible to use samples for Roland, Kurzweil, etc...
: and load them into the QS-8 and play them.

I've been asking this very question on the newsgroups and once here in this forum (see Serious use of Soundbridge) and had no response. I don't believe that there are not too many folks using Soundbridge in a serious way.

I believe it would be easy to convert a Creative Labs/Emu SoundBank to .wav files for loading into SoundBridge. For that you'd need something like the Awave conversion utility. I'd try this but I don't know if the quality of SoundBanks is very high. Emu sells them cheap (about $10 per bank).

I have 1MB of bass samples that I've tried to use with SoundBridge but the loop points sound wrong (lots of clicking when the loop kicks in). The same loop points sound fine in a software synth I have.

Bottom line is that I bought an 8MB flash card and I feel I wasted my money. SoundBridge was one of the top features that influenced my decision to buy Alesis. I should have checked it out a bit better.
