: I'm planning to by a keyboard, I think an Alesis
: would be a good choice but I'm not sure about to buy
: a QS8 or a QS7, how much superior is one over the other?

: One more thing, is it true that the keys in the Qs8
: lose their quality with time?

I think the decision will depend on what your musical background is and what you plan on doing with the keyboard. If you are a casual user, or plan on moving your keyboard around, the QS7 is probably the better deal for $300 less than the QS8. However, if you grew up playing a real piano, and plan on keeping your keyboard in one place, the QS8 is for you. The 8 is identical internally to the 7, but adds after-touch sensitivity along with the 88 hammer-weighted keys. I much prefer my QS8, but it is quite heavy, and the hammer action is just a tad noisy when playing at very low volume. At about $1595, it's a real steal compared to other comparable keyboards.
