I replaced my controller and Proformance with a QS8 which has the same sounds as the latest card. ( I don't think many places even have the older cards, so when you order you'll probably get the new one. By the way the cheapest place I know for QCards is BPM Music Express. They're on the Web at www.bpmmusic.com. They've been great to work with and are selling the QCards for only $185 including shipping). I don't know if I liked the Alesis pianos better than the Emu. They're just different, so make sure you listen to them before you dump your Proformance. I had to edit my piano sounds quite a bit before I started to get happy with them on my QS.
