Re: Roland Sound canvas 55 connect to PC

I done what you said but I still cant get any sound from the SC-55. Press play and cakewalk doesnt trigger the SC-55. Im using Sound card midi port cable from pc to midi out cable to in on SC-55.

My settings are below. MIDI Devices

Output Port
Microsoft GS wavetable SW Synth (ON TOP)
Microsoft Midi mapper
MPU-401

Input Port
MPU-401

The instruments are set up okay

: Connect the cable MIDI OUT to the MIDI IN of the SC-55.
: Then find out where the other end goes in the PC. Is it a USB port or a sound card MIDI port?

: Go to the Setting Menu again, and click on Instruments.
: Highlight the first 16 channels on the left and click on General MIDI on the right. Then select channel 10 on the left and click on GM drums on the right.
: Now you can use the SC-55 to play your GM files.
