I'm getting a similar error with my Casio WK-3700 and the TB USB MIDI cable. The tech support guys suggested that I upgrade the firmware (only if the box attatched to your cable is "square" and NOT if it is "kidney bean" shaped). You can get details off their website about upgrading. It didn't solve my problems, however, but it might help you.
