Keyboard controller to sound Canvas

Hi,please can someone help? I'm a bit new to midi and have just been givem a Roland PC-160 midi controller KB and a Roland Sound Canvas sc8820. Now I want to play the boards using the sound module only. I don't want to connect to a PC. By the way I've no instruction manual for either. I've connected via midi out on KB to midi in on Canvas and hey presto I can hear myself playing piano. Now this particular Canvas has no buttons on the front to change from the piano sound to the next and I haven't got a clue as to what to do to get the KB to change the sound/instrument. I know the canvas has 1600 sounds but my current setup and knowledge is limiting me to just the piano. Any help from the experts would be very much appreciated.
