Mike,

There are hundreds of software synthesizers and samplers available for PC.
If you need mostly drum and bass sounds, try these :

M-Audio Drum and Bass Rig

Edirol Super HQ

Both of these will work with Cubase, and give you lots of great bass and drum sounds.

: Hi,
: I am a Fourty Five year old trumpet player who is in a Midi band with a keyboard player who is struggling.I have a copy of Cubase LE that I can get Midi files onto and I can edit and save the parts I want, mostly drum and Bass.
: My question is sounds. Do I need a seperate midi device or can I load general midi and some other better sounds on my PC so that I can load them on either CD or another hard drive for live performance.
: Once again, I'm a trumpet player and other than setting up a PA and getting it to sound great I'm clueless.
: Mike
