Cubase VST32 midi problem

Midi experts,
When I play something on my midi keyboard and I record it in Cubase VST32 it receives midi (the Midi IN indicator flashes) but Cubase doesnt transmit at the same time (the Midi OUT indicator does NOT flashes)
When I'm done recording and press play Midi out transmit the recorded midi signals (the Midi OUT indicator flashes).
It's probably a setting somewhere in Cubase.
(I also ran the ASIO setup and the MMEsetup of cubase)
This problem started when I installed my new soundcard. I Use an Emu-1820M. With my previous soundcard (creative soundblaster live 5.1) it worked just fine.
help!
