Delay or nothing

Hi.
Can you please help with this problem?
My question is about the following setup
Creative Audigy 2 NX USB (external) 24bit sound card
Midiman Midisport 2x2 Midi USB interface
Yamaha pf10 88 key weighted electric piano
Native Instruments software (various demos only).
I am trying to use the Native Instruments software to synthesize my keyboard. I am only using the demos until I can get it to work properly. Once I know this ill get the full versions.
I was getting a sizeable delay and so got a 24bit sound card. There was still a delay. In the Native setup screen, my only driver options were Direct Sound and Multimedia. I was advised that the sound card hadnt got the right drivers and that I needed the ASIO drivers. I downloaded the latest version from the creative site.
The drivers all seem fine in the Audio options of XPs control panel. An ASIO option also appears on the Native setup screens. However, when I select this theres no sound at all. Theres also to midi light on screen. I know that theres a midi signal as the light flashes on the Midiman box. When I select another driver with the card it all works fine but theres the delay.
Please advise.
