connecting my vurtual synth to controller

I need some info. on getting my channels set on my keybaord controller, coming from my PC. I am using the "MINI MONSTA'" vurtual synth.I can't figure out how to set up the channels on the controller, so it will play on my Ensoniq ESQ1 synth.
I am obviuosly new to this not so new technology, but I have plenty of time to learn it. can someone give me a few starter ideas?
