no midi input from PSR-175 through RomI/O

hi,
I have got the romio 1 in 2 out usb midi interface from ESI. At
first, when I installed everything, it all worked fine. But now, the
midi input from my Yamaha PSR-175 keyboard will not work. I have
tried it with several pieces of software (Anvil Studio and Midi
notate) and neither will recognise any midi input, even though I
have 1-Romi/o MIDI selected as my midi input device.
When the keyboard is turned on, the yellow midi in led on the
interface constantly flashes. When I play it, the light flashes more
frequently. I have tried reinstalling the software. Any ideas what
is wrong?
