: Hi Alli,

: Obviosly we have got a problem in common. I would like to output MIDI data generated from analogue input information acquired by LabVIEW. This would be really cool for controller stuff.

: Concerning your question, usually there is a baud rate converter required, which should be integrated to the hardware of a serial midi interface.

: I have seen that a MIDIator device works at RS232-compatible 38.4 kHz, which makes sending data tricky since the 31250 kHz output frequency of the MIDI interface is slower than the serial 38400 KHz. So you should wait after sending a byte (handshake). You might read more on this specific device at http://www.midiator.com/midi-serial/MS-124Wmanual.html , and maybe the information will also work for your interface.

: Should you be (or already have been) successful, please drop a note here.

: I will probably buy a Hohner Midia serial midi interface soon, hopefully it will work in a similar fashion.

: Bye, Physopty
