Cueing up Sequences

I've been looking at doint the same thing. I've veen recording a few short midi sequences on my computer for my cheap Radio Shack keyboard. I'm looking to trigger the sequences when my band is playing live and I'm playing the guitar. Randall sells a MIDI footswitch for $39.95 and I'm now wondering if I could get this to trigger a sequence.

Per a response from elsewhere, it may if my MIDI keyboard reads a "Song Select" message.
