    Thank you for your suggestion. = ) I will do by follow your advise. But I wonder that when I read the manual, it told that there are 2 ways to connect XP-10 to computer: 1. use the MIDI cables 2. use a computer cable. I use the computer cable and do follow the manual : "If you use a computer cable, connections can be made directly using a single cable, but the sequescing software that you use must be compatible with the serial port (the communication connector located on the computer)." After I do follow the manual with Cakewalk or Sonar, no sound come out and can't record.
    I wonder why we need the midi in and midi out cable because I do not connect with MIDI box.
