: Further- The condition is known as "Latency" Latency depends on the audio hardware and its drivers. When you play VST instrument will be delayed according to the latency. When you monitor through Cubasis, the monitored sound will come out delayed. This is probably the area that requires the lowest latency, but then again, if you monitor externally or directly through the audio hardware this won't b a problem at all.

: : Any experts out there know the trick for this?

: : I connected a midi keyboard to the build-in game/midi port of my ASUS P4S333C (with build-in C-MEIDA AC'97 controllers). Expectedly, tune should come out from the speaker upon every keyboard stroke while playing. However, I should now wait for half a second before hearing the tune after every stroke.

: : I used to connect the same midi keyboard to an ISA version AWE32's game/midi port in the old days and it worked fine.

: : Would it be better to get a PCI SB Live instead of using the ASUS build-in?
