Boss DR-5 and Midisport UNO 1x1 trouble

I am running Logic on a Mac which is connected to a Midisport UNO 1x1 USB midi interface which is connected to a Boss DR-5.

The problem is that "midi out" signals reach the UNO (it's "midi out" light flashes) but they don't seem to reach the Boss DR-5.

I've already checked the OMS studio set up and it seems fine. I also have the DR-5 set to "sync midi" so I don't know what the problem could be. Any thoughts? Please help.
