Hello everyone and thank you in advance for you help and support. I have a minimal midi set-up, Yamaha PSR-270 keyboard, PC w Master Tracks Pro-Audio version 1 build 5. I'm trying to get an understandinmg to where I can create midi files with different instruments playing different parts, just basic arrangments and stuff.

I know my software is outdated but I'm just trying to get a handle on midi and such.

I can get the Yamaha to play midi files I download, and can use the notation editor to "write" notes, but only in the voice I've selected on the Yamaha. I guess I'm having trouble getting my brain around using different voices, do they need to be on seperate channels? Also, how do I input from the Yamaha?

I'm sure these are all pretty basic questions and I must look like a rookie (am), but I hope someone can give me a little help.

    thx,

    Dada Bob
