I have the most probable resolution for this. Your Key board midi settings should have a "real time recording" mode. This needs to be activated. The second most common problem is a slow processor in your PC followed closely by a reasonably full disk.

I am hardley the expert on this however one does have to step by step the set up on these keyboards. I hope this is of help

Any experts out there know the trick for this?

: I connected a midi keyboard to the build-in game/midi port of my ASUS P4S333C (with build-in C-MEIDA AC'97 controllers). Expectedly, tune should come out from the speaker upon every keyboard stroke while playing. However, I should now wait for half a second before hearing the tune after every stroke.

: I used to connect the same midi keyboard to an ISA version AWE32's game/midi port in the old days and it worked fine.

: Would it be better to get a PCI SB Live instead of using the ASUS build-in?
