Yamaha S-YXG 50 v4.21 and Win2k

Hi @ all.
A few moths ago, I got a CD with the full XG 50 for Win2000, but after I installed it, no midi program could access to the xg 50 whil it was shown in the system folder.
So I downloaded another copy from the yamaha webpage, and this was successful. But in the end, it was a 30 day trial. Can anyone help me shoot the problem with the full version?
Or is anybody out there who can tell me how to crack the second copy? (The first CD was a paid full version...)
