Song Galaxy, well respected as supplier of backing tracks, has released MIDI Eddie software products:
MIDI Eddie is aimed at musicians working with midifiles. Using the graphical representation of a 16 channel mixer the software allows to edit parameters like Volume, Reverb and Chorus levels, Pan position, Tempo, Transpose. MIDI Eddie provides templates for several sound formats (GM, GM2, Roland GS and Yamaha XG). This makes accessible 100s of additional sounds besides the regular GM voices. When the user is satisfied with the resulting sound he simply saves the midifile and all changes are written into the midifile. Without the need of a sequencer and editing cryptic data the user can easily get the most out of his midifiles to customize them for his individual sound module. Midifiles with embedded lyrics benefit from a Karaoke display. The software is available now. A save-disabled demo version can be downloaded at www.songgalaxy.com. The full version costs £19,99.
