Hey,

Well I could implement that if I just understand in detail what you want. To just start playback with an external midi key is no problem. I would suggest to do this with markers and on one track if you don't mind.

So lets say we set up 10 markers. from 10 different keys on the keyboard you could jump to the markers. If you wait too long it could loop between the markers unless you are on the last one....

Is this what you have in mind?

:
: I'm looking for a bit of software that would allow me to do the following:

: I have a Roland SPD-6 as part of my e-drum setup. I'd like to find a sequencer for my laptop that allows me to trigger a midi file/sequence when it receives certain midi info.

: for instance, let's say I have the following sequences/.mid files loaded into this mythical software.

: 1) intro
: 2) groove
: 3) solo
: 4) ending

: I want to be able to tell the sequencer to play "track" 1 when it gets midi note 43 on channel 10, track 2 when midi note 44 on channel 10, etc.

: Best case is that this software would allow me to do things like play the sequences back a note at a time if I want every time it gets a note on message, adn if it's set up to just play straight through, then it is synch'ed to a time signature.

: Does something like this exsist?
