I have the same problem too.
I can reproduce midi files from my PC to the keyboard, but the pc don't receives data from it.

: : i have a yamaha PSR 170 keyboard (dont laugh!!) and am having trouble connecting it to my pc. i am trying to use the program "finale". in the midi in/out devices tab, no options are shown in the "midi in" tab. the midi cable is connected to the joystick port, and the midi in is connected to the midi out port on the keyboard, and vice versa.
