Well sort of, It's a serial interface standered that alows for 16 concurrent comunication chanles per cable depending upon the device it's pluged into, lots of synths have had their drums on chanle 10 but it's not a standered as such, I think the bandwhidth is 33 000 somthings , cant remember , I have a groovy book which will definetly say but I can't see it at the moment, :-)

The standard conector id the good old 5 pin 180 degree din plug.

It's a verry old standered(well now it is when I was younger it was the grate new hope), lucky it's as versatile as it is :-)
