keyboard connection

I have a SB AWE64 Gold card coonected to a "Creative" keyboard through gameport, the keybaord has only one midi 5 pins connector. I am runing cakewalk creator under window XP. But it does not make any sound at all when I press the keyboard. Any setup needs to do in cakewalk? since Creative does not support AWE64 for XP al all.
