Live setup?

I want a new live set up for my keyboard based around a QSR. I need a controller and whatever suggestions anyone might have.
In the end I would like to play back found sounds and samples as I play guitar. I switch between alot of sounds and keys and guitar at the same time can be tricky sometimes. I dont know alot about midi so I just got the QE plus demo to try and work on it. PLEASE HELP!!!!
