The Easiest way is to MIDI Out from the TD7 to the MIDI IN on the SPD.
I've done the same thing with the TD5 & my QS7. You can also do this with the sequencer.
Midi Out from the computer, in & thru on the TD5, in & thru on the QS, back to MIDI In on the Computer. It adds a lot of flexibility.
