what the hell?

One day I was playing midi via VSc and cakewalk...then next day...I have no input or output. All drivers check good. Whrn I scroll on adio in/out/playback/ I see my VCS and a couple others. I see nothing but Digital sound master for recording. I checked everything I know of. Is i tpossible that I have conflicting devices?
Damn I'm confused! Someone please help. I'll even call you for online help!
