My husband is a huge FAN and COLLECTOR of music, but not a musician himself. He spends countless hours creating "mixes" and downloading music from the Internet. I would like to introduce him to the world of MIDI for his birthday this June, but I'm not sure where to begin. A storeowner suggested I purchase the M Box with Pro Tools software, but I'm not sure I want to spend that much ($450 min.).
Can anyone out there please recommend a good starting point for me and my hubbie? He and I both hope to learn an instrument (I, guitar and he, keyboard) sometime in the future and would therefore like to keep our input options open.
