need help with cakewalk!

i don't know if i am just stupid or what. but when i record using my yamaha psr 350 to cakewalk. i can only record the sounds that they have on the program. i would like to take full advantage of my keyboard and all of the sounds on it not just the ones that cakwalk has on it. can some one help me out. please
