Question about MIDI

I am a newbie to MIDI, so my question may be stupid. I have a general MIDI keyboard (Casio CTK-631), and, I was wondering: IS there ANY way to obtain new sounds? As far as I understand it, I'm fairly certain that I CAN'T load new patches to my keyboard, BUT, I am wondering if there are any sites that offer either free or shareware programs that contain sound patches from the following synths: Korg Trinity, Korg M-1 Workstation, Roland, Kurzweil, etc. I am having a tough time figuring out how to work the patches already on my computer's sound card. I OBVIOUSLY don't understand anything about MIDI, and would appreciate some guidance.

I am BIG into composing original works, mainly ambient (like the music that was played on a radio program many years ago called "Music From The Hearts of Space"), hosted by Stephen Hill. For more specifics, Music by the likes of Kevin Braheny, Constance Demby, Deuter, Steve Roach, et al. To sum it up, I am looking to find a way, or ways, of allowing my computer to have more sounds, so that I can have those sounds accessible by my MIDI keyboard. Any help will be very much appreciated.
