roland VM-3100 pro and win XP....???

We just purchased the Roland pro studios package and a PC. when we purchased the PC it was tagged as a Win 2000 OS but when we opened the box there was this little note telling us that the Win 200 package was no longer available and that the system we recieved has Win XP on it.. GRRRRRR.. any hows.. to make a long story short, the software for the VM-3100 wont install.. is there a patch? or a software alternative? any help would be apreaciated..
