psr 170 MIDI through gaming port????

I just got a yamaha psr 170, I have a MIDI cable from the keyboard to the gaming port on my computer, I can't find any drivers that support using the gaming port. I have win 95 and soundblaster 16 on one computer. and win 98 and soundblaster pro on the other. please help I have been trying to figure this out all weekend. I'm losing my mind here!!! Thanks
