dr-770 and logic

I'm a bit of an idiot when it comes to midi, but maybe some one out there has the patiennce to help me out.
I can't get my drum machine's sounds to play when logic is in control. I can play my preset songs and paterns, but they come out with logic's crummy default midi drums. Anyone know how to set up an environment that would get my dr's sounds to come through?
